Jefferson's Garden

Part of the Jefferson Rose Collection |
Recent visit to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, turned up a collection going back to when he was America's third president.
Most of the Jefferson collection were varieties sent to him by world travelers and American embassadors posted in China, Europe, and the middle east. He was once the ambassador to France.
Curators at the home and national landmark say they tried to re-establish the same varieties that Jefferson collected.
