WELCOME ANTIQUE ROSE LOVERS

Do you have questions
about Antique Roses?
Ask the forum (left) or Click Here

The Dallas Area Historical Rose Society is dedicated to the cultivation of old garden (antique) roses in the home landscape. Our members appreciate the fragrance, beauty, and strength of antique roses.

Our Goals

One of the goals of the society is to preserve varieties of antique roses that otherwise would have been lost to the shadows of time. Members identify old "found" varieties to assure their place in history.

Meetings and Guest Speakers

The Dallas Area Historical Rose Society meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month except December and hosts guest speakers. Our meetings include fellowship, door prizes, and plant and cutting exchanges.

We meet at the Farmers Branch Recreation Center located at 14050 Heartside Place. Click here for printable maps.

A fellowship period begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting and program starts at 7 p.m.

Garden Tours

Each spring our members open their gardens to antique rose enthusiasts. Our members conduct rose shows, plant sales, and educate the public on the value and joys of antique heritage roses. The society is constantly recruiting new members.

Newsletter

The Dallas Area Historical Rose Society newsletter is The Yellow Rose. It is published 10 times a year. Each issue of the newsletter includes articles on the cultivation of roses, news of the members, and news of the world of antique and heritage roses.
